The 2018 edition of the Ojude Oba festival was celebrated in Ijebu-ode, South West Nigeria by the great people of Ijebu land at home and the diaspora.

The event celebrated on the third day of Eid-el-Kabir saw elegantly dressed sons and daughters Ijebu land called “Regbe-regbe” in local parlance pay homage to the Awujale in a remarkable parade of horse riders representing the families of warriors, fashion, poise, and pageantry.

This year festival with the theme “Ojude oba, a celebration of rich cultural heritage” had the Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki in attendance as the Special guest of honor

The Ojude-oba has become an epitome of culture and fashion recognized internationally as  a cultural tourism destination festival promoting the tradition and heritage of the Yoruba Ijebu people of South West Nigeria
